पुण्यदायी स्नान सुधारे स्वभाव
माघ मास में प्रात:स्नान (ब्राम्हमुहूर्त में स्नान) सब कुछ देता है | आयुष्य लम्बा करता है, अकाल मृत्यु से रक्षा करता है, आरोग्य, रूप, बल, सौभाग्य व सदाचरण देता है | जो बच्चे सदाचरण के मार्ग से हट गये है उनको भी पुचकार के, इनाम देकर भी प्रात:स्नान कराओ तो उन्हें समझाने से, मारने-पीटने से या और कुछ करने से वे उतना नहीं सुधर सकते हैं, घर से निकाल देने से भी इतना नहीं सुधरेंगे जितना माघ मास में सुबह का स्नान करने से वे सुधरेंगे |
तो माघ स्नान से सदाचार, संतानवृद्धी, सत्संग, सत्य आयर उदारभाव आदि का प्राकट्य होता है | व्यक्ति की सुरता माने समझ उत्तम गुणों से सम्पन्न हो जाती है | उसकी दरिद्रता और पाप दूर हो जाते हैं | दुर्भाग्य का कीचड़ सुख जाता है | माघ मास में सत्संग-प्रात:स्नान जिसने किया, उसके लिए नरक का डॉ सदा के लिए खत्म हो जाता है | मरने के बाद वह नरक में नहीं जायेगा | माघ मास के प्रात:स्नान से वृत्तियाँ निर्मल होती हैं, विचार ऊँचे होते हैं | समस्त पापों से मुक्ति होती है | ईश्वरप्राप्ति नहीं करनी हो तब भी माघ मास का सत्संग और पुन्यस्नान स्वर्गलोक तो सहज में ही तुम्हारा पक्का करा देता है | माग मास का पुन्यस्नान यत्नपूर्वक करना चाहिए |
यत्नपूर्वक माघ मास के प्रात:स्नान से विद्या निर्मल होती है | मलिन विद्या क्या है ? पढ़-लिख के दूसरों को ठगो, दारु पियो, क्लबों में जाओ, बॉयफ्रेंड – गर्लफ्रेंड करो – यह मलिन विद्या है | लेकिन निर्मल विद्या होगी तो इस पापाचरण में रूचि नहीं होगी | माघ के प्रात:स्नान से निर्मल विद्या व कीर्ति मिलती है | ‘अक्षय धन’ की प्राप्ति होती है | रूपये – पैसे तो छोड़ के मरना पड़ता है | दूसरा होता है ‘अक्षय धन’, जो धन कभी नष्ट न हो उसकी भी प्राप्ति होती है | समस्त पापों से मुक्ति और इन्द्रलोक अर्थात स्वर्गलोक की प्राप्ति सहज में हो जाती है |
‘पद्म पुराण’ में भगवान राम के गुरुदेव वसिष्ठजी कहते हैं कि ‘वैशाख में जलदान. अन्नदान उत्तम माना जाता है और कार्तिक में तपस्या, पूजा लेकिन माघ में जप, होम और दान उत्तम माना गया है |’

Holy bath that cures all bad behavior
Taking
early morning bath (before twilight - Brahma-muhurta) during Maagh
month grants everything. It improves longevity, averts accidental death,
grants good health, strength, charisma, good luck and good etiquette.
Those children who have drifted away from good behavior, then they wont
improve much by scolding, rebuke or explaining as much as by simply
getting them to take a shower in the early morning during Maagh month.
Maagh month grants good character, grants children, discourse, compassion towards others and many more such qualities. It is as if one becomes endowed with all great virtues. Sins and poverty run away from his life. All despondency drives away. One who listens to discourses, and take morning bath in Maagh month, all doors to hell get closed to him forever. He would never go to hell for sure. All subtle impulses become purified through morning bath in Maagh month. It grants freedom from all sins. Even if you do not want to attain realisation, even then atleast listening to discourses and taking morning bath in Maagh month will assure you an entry into heaven. One must take special care and attention to attend to this pledge.

By directed efforts, if one performs regular early
morning baths in Maagh month, his knowledge becomes purified. What is
impure knowledge? Cheat others after learning knowledge, drink alcohol,
going to clubs, make boyfriend-girlfriend - all these are impure
knowledge. But one with pure knowledge at heart will not get attracted
towards such life. Taking early morning bath in Maagh month offers
glory. It grants eternal wealth. After death, one will have to leave
behind all the money earned. But the eternal wealth never wanes away.
Freedom from all sins and entry in kingdom of Gods and heavens is easily
attained.
In 'Padma Purana', even Lord
Rama's Gurudev Vashistha has exclaimed: "Donating food, water is
considered supreme in Baisaakh month, conducting penances and rituals in
Karthik month is considered supreme but performing recitations, hymns,
offering sacrifices and all donations are considered supreme in Maagh
month".
